Initially, the flights are from a small training hill and can last a minute or two increasing slowly to 20 and30-min flights as the student gets the hang of this sport: the drum with the help of a motor, the pilot gets tugged with the paraglider, which inflates, and starts rising with the forward motion and take-off. The height can also be controlled, starting from 50ft andslowly go on to 200 abd 600 ft above the ground, depending on the student. The pilot then releases the tow rope and gradually glides downwards to the landing zone. The learner can get a lot of practice at take-offs and landings without having to climb the hill a number of times and getting exhausted.

But as one gets more experience, the paraglider’s desire is to be more independent and he finds the thrill in taking off from a hill. Initially, the flights are from a small training hill and can last a minute or two increasing slowly to 20 and 30-min flights as the student
